The anime premiered on April 5 on the TOKYO MX channel at 25:30 JST, and it is also available for streaming on the dAnime Store and other streaming services in Japan, with Crunchyroll streaming it as it airs in Japan.

Yuki Inaba, known for their work on “Non Non Biyori Nonstop,” is directing the anime at Studio Palette, with Yoshifumi Sueda credited as the supervisor. Aoi Akashiro, the writer of the original manga, is in charge of series composition for the anime, and Kaori Yoshikawa is designing the characters. Rin Kurusu, who makes her voice acting debut as Cyan, performs the opening theme song “I Wish,” while Akari Kitō, who voices Mitama, performs the ending theme song “Steppin’ Up Life!”

Other members of the staff include Kouki Nagayoshi as Art Director, Masahiro Satō as Art Setting, Kana Soma as Color Key Artist, Ayako Otsuki as Director of Photography, Keiichi Nozaki as Sound Director, Masaru Urahata as Sound Effects, Dax Production as Sound Production, Yasunori Iwasaki as Music Composer, and Lantis as Music Production.

The manga centers on Yukito, the heir of a controversial cult’s leader, who reincarnates in a world without the concepts of god and religion after an unfortunate death. Akashiro and Hangetsuban launched the “Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudō” manga in Hero’s Inc.’s Monthly Hero’s magazine in May 2019, and it moved to Comiplex after Monthly Hero’s ended publication in 2020. Hero’s Inc. published the manga’s sixth compiled book volume on November 29. There is also a spinoff manga titled “Kaminaki Sekai no Onee-chan Katsudō” (translated as “What My Older Sister Does in a World Without Gods”) by Tokisada Hayami, which launched on November 25.
