Fortnite, the popular battle royale game, has introduced Attack on Titan content in its latest v24.20 update on Tuesday. The new content includes Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) Gear, Thunder Spears, and outfits for iconic characters like Eren Jaeger, Captain Levi, and Mikasa Ackermann.
Players can now find ODM Gear and Thunder Spears on the ground, in Chests, and Scout Regiment Footlockers within the game. ODM Gear allows players to grapple in the air and strike enemies from below, while Thunder Spears function as arm-launched rockets capable of penetrating armored structures.
For players who have mastered the ODM Gear, there is an opportunity to knock down Titan Targets on the Island where Fortnite’s action takes place. Additionally, an upcoming Week 5 Quest will test players’ Thunder Spear skills, with rewards including the Courageous Mikasa Spray and the Scowling Levi Emoticon. However, it’s worth noting that players need to complete preceding trials such as “Treasure Hunting” Trials and “Process of Elimination” Trials for the Trigger Happy Trials to be available.
As a fun Easter Egg, the Jaeger’s Family Basement, a significant location in the story of Attack on Titan, is also accessible in Fortnite. However, its exact location in Anvil Square remains a secret, just like the many secrets it holds in the original story.
The Eren Jaeger Outfit is unlockable in the Battle Pass by completing the Eren Jaeger Battle Pass Quests in Battle Royale Chapter 4 Season 2. Meanwhile, the Captain Levi and Mikasa Ackermann Outfits are available in the in-game Item Shop.
This is not the first time Fortnite has featured anime crossovers, as the game has previously collaborated with popular series such as Naruto, Dragon Ball, and My Hero Academia. These collaborations have added a new layer of excitement for fans of both Fortnite and these beloved anime franchises.
